The Roschen's: June 2009

Sunday June 14th

We had a busy day on Sunday. First, Michael greeted Maya in her crib when they woke up. Then Grandma and Grandpa Roschen came over to help with some yard work. Michael was a big help!! Then we went up to the parade. Michael LOVED the parade. His favorite was probably all the tractors and horses. Maya slept through the whole thing. We went home after that and took a nap. When we got up Great Grandma and Grandpa Roschen came over to visit. Then we went out to Grandma and Grandpa Roschen's house to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Mensink. BIg day!! We all slept good that night!

First Bath

We gave Maya a little sink bath on Saturday night. She didn't like it much. She would much rather be bundled up in a nice warm towel.

June 13

We went down town to eat lunch and then went to watch Brad play softball. Later that night Lily came over to visit. Had to get some pictures of the girls in their little dresses.

Coming Home!

We came home on Friday, June 12th. We were welcomed home by big brother Michael. Michelle and Tracey spent the week at home with Michael. Thanks girls. We took Maya out of the carseat and she already had pooped through her cute little outfit. Probably the first of many blowouts.

Maya's other visitors were Grandpa Ryan, Matt, Callie, Derek, Luke, Owen, Josh, Kamie, Maggie, Macy, Brittany, Aubriel, Leetta, and Ashley. Sorry, can't fit all the pictures of everyone on here! Michael liked having a few playmates while he was visiting.

She's Here!!

Maya Jean was born on June 9, 2009 at 1:16pm She was 8lbs 13oz and 19 3/4in long. She got to meet lots of people her first day of life. Grandma and Grandpa Roschen, Grandma Bev, Jes, Izaak, Lily, Michelle, Tracey, and of course her big brother Michael.

Congrats Tracey!!

We went to Tracey's graduation ceremony on June 7th. I think Michael was ready for a nap by the time it was over. I didn't take any pictures at her party but that was the weekend before. Michael had lots of fun playing with all the kids and eating lots of cake!!
